Carl Thomson

Managing Director

Part of the business since 1988, Carl has taken Moyne from strength to strength to now be one of the leading electrical contractors in London and beyond. Taking the lead from the name of the street that he grew up in (Moyne Place), the business was born. Since then Carl has steadily built the business using his years of electrical design and installation experience. Also not forgetting his essential skills of managing contracts, costs and quantity surveying. Carl is Moyne!

Rachel Wallington

HR Director

Well HR is just one of the many hats that Rachel wears at Moyne London! After joining in 2000 as an office administrator, Rachel has moved through the ranks to become a Director of the business in 2017. Now her role covers many aspects, including HR responsibilities, payroll, accounts through to working with her team to set up projects, making sure sites are supported and all relevant documentation is completed. Let’s face it what Rachel doesn’t know about Moyne is really not worth knowing!

Operations Director

Closely following on the heels of Carl (our Managing Director), Brendan has been with Moyne since 1990. He’s clearly loved it so much in those early days that he has stayed and given enormous strength to the management team. Known for wide variety of essential skills in electrical design and installation, Brendan’s particular skills are for contract and commercial management, while also working through all manner of challenges to come up with ideal solutions. Maybe he should be known as our ‘Go-To’ man!

Bill Grimes

Director

A significant part of the team, Bill has worked with Moyne for over 20 years, using his extensive knowledge of electrical contracting projects and getting value to our advantage. His role as Procurement Director means he has to be on the case with every project, making sure cost efficiencies are secured while keeping abreast of the latest products, pricing and legislation requirements. Bill is our details guru!

Contracts Manager

Since 2016, Phil has been responsible for multiple projects including Health & Safety, implementation and financials. Multiple aspects include electrical works, fire and security/structured cabling for Cat A and Cat B high end office, new builds and high end refurbishments for residential, hotel, hospitality, offices and multi-purpose venues. Otherwise Phil is visiting new places around the world or is on the football pitch!

In practical terms it feels like Charlie has been part of the Moyne team for a lot longer than when he started in 2021. He has previously worked with Moyne on several other projects while being employed elsewhere. But his abilities to look after all the financial aspects of projects, liaising with clients including monthly valuations and measuring new projects meant we were keen to welcome him on board.

Since joining Moyne, Paul has been instrumental in a number of significant projects. Extending his expertise across a myriad of specialisms including electrical and fire works, Health & Safety and obviously financials while also working on a mix of both new builds and high end refurbishments.

Paul is known for his attention for detail and making sure everyone knows their part in a project.

Time has quickly passed since Malcolm joined Moyne in 2016. And now we wonder where we would be without him. A deep understanding of the electrical contracting industry and significant ability to negotiate has meant that Malcolm constantly ensures we are getting the best price for our materials without compromising on the quality. Integral to everything we do, there is not a day goes by when he does not make us laugh. We love our Mal!

Well without Geoff, where would we be!

His extensive knowledge and experience of AutoCAD knows no bounds which is why he is able to take all our ideas and turn them into AutoCAD version of reality.

Thankfully his understanding of environments, whatever sector they are in, means he is a master at design and is able to map out the intricacies of any job.

Working closely with the rest of the team, Jason been an estimator at Moyne for a while now.

Fortunately for us, The combination of his attention to detail and diligence means that he is critical to collecting and analysing quotes from suppliers. He then uses this information during the bidding process in order to provide accurate pricing and qualification information making it transparent for our clients to make their decision.

An eye for detail is what David is known for. That is exactly why he is perfectly suited to his role as Estimator at Moyne.

Taking time to understand projects and building critical relationships with a wide spectrum of suppliers, he offers a rounded and transparent view on every project of the costs involved. While also priding himself on working hard to get the most accurate and best price for the client for their particular job.

An integral part of the estimating team, James is focused on making sure every element is closely assessed and analysed to give an accurate budget costing for every project.

No mean feat when being involved in a myriad of intricate projects, across a wide variety of different environments! But, his due diligence ensures the most realistic budget is supplied to the client to help them make decisions about every detail, no matter how small.

O&M Manual Co-Ordinator

What Sharon doesn’t know about Operations and Maintenance (O&M) is not worth knowing! Part of Moyne since 2014, her involvement is integral to every project as she collates all the information together to product the O&M Manual for the job. This tells the client what works have been completed, all the information on the equipment installed, installation drawings and the test certificates. Let’s face it – no project goes untouched by Sharon!

Office Manager

The term office management covers a broad spectrum of what Ellie does. Since joining Moyne in 2013, her responsibilities have increased to cover a multitude of different aspects including the all important timesheet collation, wages management and test certifications for projects. Being part of a team and knowing much of what is going on means she is often the point of contact for answering a question. Every business needs an Ellie!
